We are ideally located in the highly requested Apokoronas region of Western Crete. We invite you to visit us at our main office in Armeni High Street, a short drive from Chania. Armeni is a typical Cretan traditional village in an idyllic setting. It has an abundance of wild life due to it's many natural springs, that are shaded by age old towering plane trees.
The name “Armeni” comes from the settlement by the Armenians in 961. For a long time, it was the seat of the provisional revolutionary government of Crete. In May 1822, the leaders of Crete signed the Greek institution under the famous plane tree, in the village square.
Even today the giant plane trees still influence the image of the village. Many visitors come to enjoy the walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside and savour the many traditional meals on offer in the local tavernas. There is also the golden sandy beach and many more facilities in the neighbouring village of Kalives, only 3 km from Armeni.
